Default hit the wall...

so, i have a '95 civic sedan w/ a b18b swap... i currently have:
-exedy stageII clutch
-2.5 catback
-cai

i lost against an integra gs...2x... i had a perfect launch and perfect shifting, he had exactly one car on me ie. his rear bumper was lined up with my front bumper, after second gear. and it stayed that way all the way to the end... he has the same mods if not less... i don't understand why? what can i do right now to get the edge on him? no stripping of interior, extreme advanced timing, forced induction... any boltons that would help? thanks, btw...after the race he was braggin

2x??? do U mean 2nd gen, or what? If yes, then it's wieght. Your car is much heavier than Integra.

I'd get a header. Add a little low end power... Also, what are you launching at? Couple things to think about would be a different tranny (del sol vtec, gsr, ITR...) or an LSD. What year was the gs? Aren't those the same as an LS only with an auto tranny?

As far as I know, the GS only gives you leather seats & a spoiler. That was in 2001, at least.

i lost two times... sorry for the discrepancy...also his was a '95 gs and i have a '95 ls swap... it's the same motor. ls/gs/rs all the same. i believe MY civic sedan is 200lbs lighter than the integra body, according to edmunds. it could possibly be the launch... i run 16's in the front... yokohamas, i usually launch at 2500...is that too much?

LMAO!!! I have Kuhmos, and I launch at about 3500. I have a stage 2 clutch, and I get a tiny amount of wheel spin on a hot day, and the clutch grabs pretty quickly. On a cold day, launch at 4K and I can spin em till the cows come home. Hot being about 90 or more, cold being about 45 or less. Sounds like you might just be a weak shifter... That, or you have something else robbing your power...

Do you have power steering? If so take the belt off for it. That'll give you a few hp. How bout a cam?
