to be honest with you...manual window regulators are a pain to find...

they say that most 96-00 civic parts are interchangeable but ill say with the window regulators to be extra carefull and just go specific for your year of the car...

If you go to google and do a local search for a auto parts or junkyards nearby your state you might be able to find one cheap...

I had the same problem with mine (97 civic) I was able to find it for $40 bucks!!

I know these people carry this stuff...but i dont know if they are able to ship it to where you at>> http://www.leesvilleauto.com/

thanks for the link, i'll try it out but if anyone else has any input on my question feel free to confirm.

If you can't find a used one, check out www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. $50.46 + S/H for manual window regulator for a 99 2dr Dx. The price shouldn't be all that much different if the car is a year older or newer.

I don't know why you're dealer is trying to screw you over. $102? Seems steep if you ask me. My dealer charged me less then $60 including tax when I bought a power window regulator for my 98 ex. But ya, check out that site. Most of their prices are pretty good if you're looking for oem stuff.

24405 002 REGULATOR, L. FR. DR

would that be what i'm looking for (front driverside)? i used the site you listed above and put in the specs for a 00 civic 4dr and came out with a list.

To tell you the truth...they (the dealer) are not trying to screw Ion over...is just that, that is the real price a dealer charges for manual window regulators...I live in NJ and my honda dealer charges the same thing for a 97 civic...

so the best thing to do is go to auto parts and find the window regulator!!!

That number looks to be for the front passenger side. 24413 should be for the front driver.

If any doubt, e-mail them. They were pretty helpful and quick to respond when I've contacted them in the past.

In no way do I doubt what you said to be as truth, but it just confuses me as to why the prices differ so greatly just because they're in two different state. Maybe there's more behind it then just the actual cost of the part.

Dealers charged such a high price just because their parts are "original" honda parts...also so called genuine parts...

which i really think is all the same...paying double the price just because is original is rather worrisome to me...im really not that well of to throw my money outlike that!!

Well I understand dealer prices being higher then say Autozone with the whole "OEM" vs "OEM fit" / "OEM type", but what I don't get is why my local dealer in FL will sell the same regulator for $60 something while your local dealer in NJ will sell the same part for almost twice the amount. :crazyr:

I got to abmit that it is kind of strange...but what is even weirder is that i actually called up an auto parts store and tells me the same thing you told me...that i could get the part(window regulator) rather cheap from the Honda dealer...but when i called the dealer that guys tells me is $102 plus tax...

I asked him...are you sure thats the price...and he says yeah!!

so much for being cheap!!

But regards to your statement...im pretty sure that competition and that every honda dealer is owned by different people might mean how the prices are set!!!
