does anyone know the part number for the amber bulbs (or amber bulb condoms) for the 99-00 CDM SiR/USDM Si? I took the stock blue condoms off my bulbs and painted the bulbs with a few coats of transparent red, but they faded within a few days. so I wanna get the real ones... I tried ordering them, but I ended up with the stock ones with the blue condoms on them so the actual Honda part number would come in handy... also, can those red condoms be bought elsewhere??? thanks in advance

 

There was another member on this board that said he got the "condoms" through partsexpress.com. But I don't know where on the site he found them in. :dunno:

 

that was meeh. yeah i forgot the part number but if u call the ppl at partsexpress.com and tell em u need the color bulb covers, they will know what u r talkin bout. its like 2 bukks for like 10 i think. they have red, blue, and green. dunno if newer colors r available cuz i got em like 2 and half years ago.

I heard that Testor's orange model paint won't fade. Someone on H-T did that and his guages still looked cool after 2 weeks. I'm probably going to do that with mine.

 

well my friend used testor candy apple red to paint his, then a coat of high temp clear over it. its been at least a week and no fading.
