Default Ugh...maybe someone can help me again..

So I let my car run for a while again, did a compression test because i thought the 1st cylinder was fucked up, nope, 180psi nice!! But when I tried unthreading the compression tester from the spark plug hole only the hose came out, the adapter decided to stay threaded in there. So I threaded a spark plug in it because that always works, but then the spark plug decided to snap off inside the adapter. So, unless anyone can help me shit a miracle I think it's time to just part the fucking thing out.

sweet fucking christ man...I think your car hates you. You could always get an extractor...drill a hole and then use the reverse thread bit to unscrew it out of the head.

I thought about that, but then there would be metal shavings and shit in the cylinder, I could take the head off, but I'd need a new headgasket and It will have been the 3rd time I've torqued and untorqued my head studs so I'd need to shell out another 100$ for those and I'm a full time student.

Yeah... i dunno...

I might just pick up a b18b block and do a cheap lsvtec turbo or something.

It figures my appointment to have the body work done and paint is in 2 weeks. and now this happens.

A: why don't you have ARP studs?
B: if you do the drilling then hit it with a good shop vac and then blow out he dust with compressed air...then you can back it out safely.

I do have ARP studs, but this will be the 3rd time with the head off and I'd just feel safer after that many torques.

Since I'm missing my body work appointment I'm just going to get Benson sleeves. 15psi was fun, 25 should be more fun. If I have to go that route.

agreed.

& yes, he has arp studs. Just re-torque them to the same spec that u did prior or one pound over if you have to go that route. It will be fine.

btw.. i'm sorry to hear the next chapter of your horror story!

The thing is I don't know where that oil came from in cylinder 3. The last time I did a compression test the motor was cold because I'm an idiot and it came up with 160psi. But I did put oil in the cylinder to see if it raised the compression, it could just be left over from that. Or it could be my valve seals like I thought... So maybe it was just leaking out the manifold into my turbine housing and leaking out there. Maybe my turbo is fine???? Or I could have some how, some way, blown up that cylinder(which I highly doubt I'm not getting any blowby). I'll know when I pull the manifold off.

Anyway, I'll try the easy out thing, what do I have to lose? Makes a lot more sense than just pulling the fucker apart again. So what kind of extractor? Like an EZout or whatever?

I didn't get the spark plug out. I tried the trick where you thread a sparkplug onto the stuck compression tester adapter and get it snug and when you go to remove the plug it should pull the adapter out with it, but instead the plug broke right after the box wrench part so from the threads down is lodged in the adapter, which is lodged in the sparkplug hole.

I got a bolt extractor set but I don't know what to use to get the shit in there. I can't find a drill bit long enough or a t-bar for the extractors.
