im not sure if it s the same on your car, but on my teg and friends civic, its held in with one bolt.

if you are looking at the backseats from the front, it should look like this....

In my car you have to take the top and bottom apart in 2 difference pieces. For the top part it is 2 pieces, obviously. Push one piece as close to the center as you can, where it's hinge is closest to the outside of the car will be a clip thing that looks like a "C", pull it out, do the same for the other side. Now push the halves as far as you can to the ouside and pull them out. For the bottom seat there is one bolt which you should have exposed. Take that out then flip the seat up and pull it out.

^^ thats right, i forgot about taking out the backrest.

the backrest should be pretty simple, since the hindges are exposed.

the rear seat custions weigh about 2 lbs.

i dont see how people can say that is a good weight reduction. of course 2lbs is an exaggeration...but still.

its a long term weight reduction, see by taking out the 2 lb cushion, it saves you from needing to take an additional 2 - 3 people in the future; combined to about 350 pounds!
