I just recently changed my spark plugs on my 02 civic ex and i am still not getting the power from my vtec. Any suggestions?

 

dont expect neck snapping power from that engine

 

buy a supercharger!! or a turbo kit!!

youll get some real juice!!

ps...remember stock civic even with the vtec engine are not for real power!

YOU WILL ONLY FEEL THE VTEC ENGINE KICK IN WHEN YOU REDLINE IT!!!!!!

 

seeing that it isnt a dohc vtec isnt as noticable either

 

i got a single OHCam vetec in my 93 civic.. shit used to kick hard when i can remember jump on vtec at 5.5 redlined at 8.5

Over a couple of years it started to get weak.. leak oil and burn oil.. but it still has some kick to it.. but not as much... make sure your full of oil.. cuz the vtec won't work if ur low on oil.. at least not with mine less compression i guess.. but give it an oil change and then try it out again

 

are you saying its not engaging or your just not thrown back in the seat like you think should be? if its the latter than dont expect that cuz as stated its a SOHC so only your intake side is affected not the exhaust...think of it as a VERY belimic k20a3 :rofl: (you know cuz the k20a3 ivtec only affects intake side..wat a rip off)
