Default 94 civic brake pressure

When i press the brakes sometimes the pedal goes to the floor and it seems like I have no brake pressure. I have a 94 civic with abs. I have been suspecting some kind of internal leakage in the master cylinder. I have had this problem for a few years now but rarely did it seem like i lost pressure. Recently, on a weekly basis when I apply the brakes there is little resistance and the pedal goes right to the floor almost. brakes still work and pads are good. Have not lost any brake fluid ever since I started to monitor this problem 3 years ago. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

usually the master cylinder, but it can also be a line that is about to fail, or just air/water in the fluid.

I would try bleeding all the fluid first, if that doesn't fix it then change the MC

Look at the vac booster usually if you have a mc leak you will see brake fluid all over the vac booster. Some time thy leak internally. I like what thy said too ^^^^^^^^

that too me sounds like your fluid is broke down or contaminated, when is the last time you had your system flushed? i would try a flush and fill before shelling the money for the new mc

I dunno how much a flush and fill would cost but once i get the money i am leaning towards changing the master cylinder. Hope that fixes it.

I think it cost $2.99 for brake fluid. Do it yourself
