Default Primary O2 sensor help

Hey, so my cel went for the primary O2 sensor on my 98 Civic Si. My buddy replaced the sensor for me and the light is showing the same code again. Any ideas what else to do or has anyone had a similar problem?

What code exactly (example p1234) there is a o2 heater system and an o2 signal system. If you get me the code I will try to help.

Check connectors and make shure you have an o2 senser and not a A/F senser thy are different.

Yeah, I was gonna suggest that.

Either disconnect the neg. battery cable or remove the ECU fuse for a few minutes - that way you can be sure the code was cleared.

I've disconnected the battery and have also taken the fuse out. The comes on every couple days giving the same code. Honda has told me that I have to use a Honda sensor and I wanted to see if they were f**king with me. Any other suggestions would be great.

Also, Canada has 98 si's, I think the equivalent in the states is the EX

It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a Honda kick back a non-Honda sensor.
