Tie a string to the end of the plug that goes into the radio. Unscrew the antenae mount screws and pull it out, along with the string BUT leave the other end inside the car. Tie that end of the string to the new antenae plug and pull the string back through.
Atleast that's how I'll be doing mine on my 93 with a broken off antenae.
I tried to install a new antenae on my 92 that didn't have one from the factory, what a pain in the ass trying to fish the antenae through to the inside of the car. I eneded up installing an aftermarket one on the rear quarter panel.
