Tires for 18's?
Alright so I just bought a new set of 18's for my 98 civic and I need to know what tires to buy for them. Not like a brand name or anything but measurments, I've looked on google and numerous tire websites but they tell me nothing! I looked at the measurments on the rims and they are 18x7.5 and the tires need to be low profile if anyone is selling maybe? Thanks for the help. Oh and 1 more thing these have a 43 mm offset do you know if they will rub any shocks/fenders? Or stick out from under the fenders

noone is trying to hurt your feelings but 18's on a civic are way to big ... 16's at the most on those my friend.
you have effectively destroyed what handling ability you had, not to mention the chance for fender rub is pretty much 100%.
your ride quality is now going to be total shit and more than likely you will wind up regretting buying them.
my honest opinion is to try and return them...pick up some 16's and be glad you didnt drop 18's on a civic.

It's not about what these guys have. They're letting you know (mostly through experience) that having 18's on a civic is not worth it.
Though at first you might think that it's the best thing that you'll ever get for your car, the longer you ride on them, the more you'll realize what a mistake it is to have such large wheels/tires on your car.
If you're at least going for the aesthetic aspect of such a large wheel/tire combo, might I ask if you have at least a body kit on your car (installed and painted)? Personally, 18's look somewhat decent on a civic if the car has a bodykit to complement it. The body kit makes the car look larger thus making 18's somewhat acceptable to have.
If not, then having a large wheels like that would just make your car look ridiculous. Especially if you don't even have a drop.
I also used to have 18's on my civic and I tried riding on them for about a month. The ride was the least comfortable of all the wheels I've owned and it tore up my inner fenderwell covers. I'm very happy with my set of 15's and 16's that interchange every now and then. They're a more comfortable ride as the larger sidewalls help absorb road imperfections, plus they're not shredding up my fenderwell covers.

Yea your right I wanted rims for my car for so long and I didnt really care about handling or anything else and I came across these rims from a guy online and I got them for a deal only $400 so I figured what the hell why not? but after I get tires and ride them for a while I might sell them
