Default electrical problems

the other day i was changing the bulbs in climate controls. and now it stays on when the car is turned off. and it is making the relay for fan motor really hot. i have gone through almost all the wiring and could not find any wires that are touching or shorted. if any one has a clue as to what else to check. it would help me out a lot.

if you think you did not do anything while changing the bulbs, dont forget to see if you are using the right kind of bulbs!!

What really ac fan or coolant fan?Is the fan on? Some times thy just get stuck on hit with a wrench.

OK by your name its a 94 civic and you have a b18b in it I am assuming you no longer have ac or never did?

So in you fuse box(take it apart) their is a Black yellow,Yellow green and a Black red wire all in the same connector find it.From what I can see its the one with 7 wires going into it its brown next to the battery.

The yellow green is the ground for the control side of the really 2 things ground out this wire. One the engine coolant temp switch and the ecu.

Possible causes
1 Engine coolant temp switch stuck on(unplug it see if the really turns off)It has one green wire on black wire
2 the ecm is wigging out(unplug it see if the really turns off)
3 The yellow green wire is shorted to ground( just run a new wire and switch it so you can turn on the fan every time you start the car)

Ok so you are talking blower motor under the dash.So you are saying you can turn on the blower with the car off rite?Or are you just talking bout the lights stay on?You have to be specific the blower motor, recirculation motor, air mix door and the heater control panel lights are all different wiring diagrams + their were 3 fans to chose from I gest wrong.

I think you are just talking about the lights.

On the heater control panel their is a red black wire(pin 9) It should have 12v with the combo switch in park or head not all the time.Check it and see if you have 12v all the time.

Get back with me and we will go from their.LOL

I Have An Integra Gs 1997 With The Same Problem. So It Was A Ground Wire? Not Only Does My Blower Stay On, So Does My Ac Fan. I Had To Unplug It To Keep It From Killing My Battery. Where Did You Find The Ground Wire Problem?
