What size rims can you put on a 96 civic ex without changing anything else?

16''. 17''if you want to push it. IMO stay with 16''.

15x7" 41-44mm offset
16x7" 42-44mm offset
17x7" 42-44mm offset

I would go with 15" if your going for speed...If your going for looks I would go with 16" (If your going with both get a lightweight 16")

Would I be asking for any serious issues if I picked up a set of 16x7 with a 40mm offset for my 98 civic? I can't really see that a 2mm offset difference is really gonna rub unless I've got the wheel at full stuff and turned hard over to one side. Any other opinions on the idea?

i have 17" with 205/40 tires, looks good,
lost some softness when driving in city, but hell with it
keeps me away from speeding.
