Default Starting hard...

I have a 2000 civic and whenever I have a little under a 1/2 tank of gas left my car starts really hard...I don't know what to do! Any ideas?

It cranks a little longer than normal. Or turns over longer than normal. About 5 seconds.

make sure that when u go to start the car you don't just turn the key all in one motion all the way to crank the starter.

Correct way:
Insert key & turn to on position (pause while you wait to hear the fuel pump purge)

When the fuel pump shuts off, crank the car.

hope that helps you out.
