what is this???

does anybody know what this piece is called? i tried looking for it but i cant seem to find it. its the thing that goes in between the knob and the boot sorta like a spacer. also where would i be able to get 1?

most of the time they are built into the boot

yeah they are either built into the boot itself or they are a safety lever that you have to pull up to go into reverse on some cars

im not looking to use it for reverse i just want to eliminate the space i have between the boot and knob. the pic is from the new top secret supra and i thought it would look nice

looks like a large nylon washer to me. home depot/orchard would be a good place to look.
