Default shifting problems

I am having problems with shifting at times in my 95 Civic EX, its manual, i have checked the rods, shifter bushings, and they are in good shape. What can it be?

the shifter is locking up or hard to shift when under load from taking off a dead stop or at a stop on a steep incline. someone told me it might be a motor mount, but not which one

Just hard to get into first? I've never driven a car that didn't take some sort of persuasion to get into first. Either rolling back a bit or SLOWLY letting the clutch out.

Again, be more specific. Just 1st? All gears??

Try doing a drain and refill with Honda MTF. How old is the present tranny fluid?

I really don't know wtf he is saying, but drain and fill your tranny with Honda MTF to the correct level. Make sure the car is level when you're pouring it in.
