Default Keyless entry 02 Civic

Is the keyless entry system standard on a 2002 Honda Civic LX, if not how can I check if it has one? I just got this car but it only came with one key from the dealer, I want to buy a key fob/transmitter from ebay, but I don't know if my car has a keyless entry system installed.

here are install instructions and parts numbers
http://www.handa-accessories.com/civ...ckeyless01.pdf
you can check under the dash and see if the wiring is in place for the keyless entry, if it is then get your remote and enjoy
if the wiring isnt there, then start searching for the parts
good luck

okay I can see the harness, but there so many wires shoved in that little place I can't see the rest of it. How can I find the FCC ID for the transmitter w/ out moving the wire around?

I see the harness, but on ebay there is two remotes with different FCC ID numbers:

1. OUCG8D-344H-A
2. NHVWB1U521

From what I understand the FCC ID numbers must match the car in order to work.

However I do not know which one to get. Also, some of the remotes on ebay have a trunk button, will this work on a 02 Civic LX?

Actually what I thought was the harness is not the harness. Therefore I do not have a keyless entry system installed. However, the keyless entry unit (not transmitter) has been DISCONTINUED by honda. I can't find a OEM kit anywhere.

Is there an aftermarket kit that I can buy that does not require actuators? More specifically, is there an aftermarket kit that I can plug into the fuse box like a normal OEM kit?

you only need actuators if you don't already have power door locks.
