Lose weight. It won't do much but its free. Otherwise you're SOL, it's easy to spend money on a Civic and not change the speed much at all, why would you think there's a free way to get faster.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Edit:I wasn't planning on providing the "Everthing you ever wanted to know about Honda automotive lock operation" but here it is...

Whether your honda has power or manual locks, you can't lock the driver's side door unless (1) you close the door, or (2) you pull the handle while you lock it.
This applies to both pushing it to the locked position manually or using the power switch. You can pull either the interior or exterior door handle, your choice.

Also, this may not apply to all but it does to 5th gen civics: If for some reason you are about to close your door and the doors are locked, if you push the switch to unlock them without first pulling the handle all doors will remain locked, not just the driver's door.
I figured this out through curiosity, not sure how you end up in that situation otherwise but that knowledge could prevent someone from being locked out.

Knowledge is power!!! :lmfao:

Disclaimer: Some details may be different on 21st century Honda/Acura automobiles.

this was true on my 90 accord, my 96 civic, my dads 00 accord v6, and my moms 02 civic.

the guy that i bought my civic ex from was clueless
he thought you had to lock the car with the key after the door was closed
when i checked out the car for the first time i explained how to use the door handle, and also that the car came with keyless entry, all he needed was a remote
he felt like an idiot after i told him that :lmao:

I knew a girl who had an '01 civic when they first came out, and she would brag to no end about it having a system that "kept you from locking your keys in the car."

I showed her the handle trick, and pretty much shut her up.
