that manfiold is crap and if it hasnt fallen to pieces yet, it will

missing links are used to fool the map sensor into not seeing boost. it's a band aid fix and there are better ways around it. like installing a 2.5 or 3 bar map sensor. you can boost up to 11psi with the stock map sensor so if that's all you want leave the stock one in.

from your questions i would not rush into anything right now. sit down, take your time, and READ all you can.

if running a 3 bar sensor wont you have to run something to manage it. 11psi is fairly safe for a b16 and dont some turbo kits come with the same tuned ecu for a certain motor.

acourding to mike kojmi or whatever his name is 15psi is safe but I blew up my b16 on 13psi but with no tune no bypass valve and I took it past the speed limiter at 120mph. SO i think it wouldve been fine had i not took it past 120 which i think the map sensor was so confused (it cant read past 10psi i think) that it let the car keep going and around 135 it just stopped running, it turned out to be broken ring lands. But i would say the tune should be fine if you have the same kinda of motor. Im sure someone will bash me for saying this but this came from experiance so. Yeah and ebay turbo kits are shitty as hell i found that from experiance also. if its a ebay kit which it sounds like it is dont do it. The turbo seals started to leak on me within a month and the wastegate doesnt control boost worth a crap, the diaphram is all bent up and squished. But damn feeling boost is so lovely. I would say just clean out all the oil in your charge piping frequently, dont go above 120 or whatever your limit is, and dont over boost get a good boost gauge.

The ecu should adjust for the lowering of boost but im pretty sure it wont be optimal but i think itl be fine. You must get a differant spring to lower boost cause a controller will only go as low as the spring. HOw much are you paying for this setup.

pickin it up for 1000 comes with every thing too. is that a reasonable price? so let me get this straight all i have to is lower the boost and every thing should be good right?
