HAN does not seem to be suited to your tastes, perhaps you would be happier if you found another message board...

if you cut it you wont be able to close the door when window is up, window has to come under the rubber.

see tht's the thing. but if u think about it, convertibles do not have rubber.

i've tried something and i think it could work. my windows the glass is not going into the rubber. it misses it and it's outside. so i was thinking that i'm gonna cut off the frame but for the top part, i'll put the frame and rubber back but permanently to the roof. then i won't have a gap between window glass and roof. and when i close the door rubber will be there to have elastic momentum. it'll be like a cusion.

beside, some of us lower our cars to sarcrifice the luxury of driving. i think i can handle the worst case tht could happen. like if it doesn't work after i cut off, i can still open the windows first b4 closing the door. but i'm gonna figure out the best case.

if im not mistaken all convertables or any other cars that dont have window frame attached to the door have different window regulator (with much stronger window support)
if you cut the frame the window will be supported by 2 bolts on the regulator and it is going to swing when you open the door , im not even talking about how easy its going to be for thieves to get into your car even with the spoon.

buy a door from scrap yard and try, actually you are the first person i know trying to achieve this, good luck.
