HELP! losing power between 3k and 4k
heres a breakdown of whats going on:
-Between 3000 and 4000 rpm my engine bogs down
-There's usually power below 3k and above 4k just not in between
-It doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't seem to have any correlation with how I drive before hand
-I've replaced my plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor and my fuel filter
-It also seems like it started after I replaced my timing belt and water pump
-I changed my timing belt because I heard a loud snapping noise one day when I revved into the Vtec
-A new symptom has just recently occured where my engine cuts out completly for a second while accelerating before driving normally again
-my CEL has not come on
I have a 94 Del Sol Vtec with a B16a3. It has 200 000km (120 000Miles) on it
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

when u changed the timing belt, did u make sure the cam didnt move, and ur belt isnt off by one tooth, that could cause your engine to bog down, and lose acceleration if ur valves are opening up late, did u notice that ur gas mileage has suffered?
I'm almost positive the cams didn't move. It doesn't happen constantly only once in a while. More like half the time I drive now. The car idles properly and my fuel mileage hasn't suffered significantly.
