100k miles, vibration ..can anything be done?
I'm sorry if I over looked a thread already about this topic..I just couldn't find something about it.
My car recently passed 100k miles, and is a 2000 civic ex. I've had it for over 3 years and when I got it, it had under 50k in miles. Now when I'm idle I feel a vibration in my seat and steering wheel. This didn't happen until the last 10k or so miles.
I'm over due on a timing belt, and that'll probably get done within the next month. If that doesn't help resolve this problem, what will? Or is it just something that comes with the age of a car?

Offhand, the only age-related cause of behavior like that (assuming your car is idling normally) would be your engine mounts.
You can take a peek at them as best you can, but if you aren't a hardcore DIYer, that could be a quite expensive issue to diagnose and fix.

Thanks for the reply. It's idling below 1000..around 800 if I had to guess. I figured something like that, however I didn't want to throw options out there thinking someone would say that because I suggested it.

Actually the engine mounts aren't that hard to do yourself. I just did my front and both sides on an 01 EX. Take a good look at them and see if they are broken, mine were easy to see because the front and one of the sides had actually collapsed. When you look at them look to see if the bolt is centered inside the mount, if it is not then there is a good chance the mount has broken.
