Default swap problem ?

Hey, i just got an h22A1 swap in my 97 EL and it seems to be revving high, like going 110 km/h its at like 3200rpm, is that normal? seems really loud and to high, any imput would be sweet thx

the gearing is gonna be shorter in 5th than you are used to in the EL. 3200 sounds about right.

Yeah, makes sense that it would be geared more aggressively.
I drove an auto 3rd gen 'lude that, if I remember correctly, was almost at 3500 at 65 mph in 4th.
At 70mph(roughly 110kmh) my 5th gen civic ex is at 3000 in 5th.

Civics, and I'm assuming the same is true of ELs, have less sound proofing and just plain less material between between the engine and the driver than what that engine started off in so I'd expect it to be louder.

it ust seems like it would be really loud going on like a road trip doin like 120km the whole way. . . but the air intake does make it louder to so. . . just different i guess w/e
