Default HID problem

Hi, I installed a pair of HID's onto my 97 dx today and it worked for a couple seconds, and then the driver seat bulb went out, and a little while later the passenger side went out.
I checked the fuse and they both burned out. So then just to test it I replaced the fuses *10* with 2 *20*'s and the driver side bulb seems alot brighter then the passenger side.
Does anyone know whats going on? T_T

What kind of HID are u using?? It never a good idea to put a high rated fuse in, you gonna to end up burning up something. The issue with the brightness, is most likely just b/c of the proprieties of the housings.
