I have a 99 civic ex, How much would it be to swap a SI engine in?? What all would I need??

I have about $1200 and a d16 y8 with a thrown rod bearing. What engine can I get and have run perfectly fine??

If you can do the swap yourself and you get really lucky (find someone selling a totaled si with little to no front end damage for less than $1200) $1200 will be enough. A complete motor and tranny will cost more than that and there is no telling how much a shop will charge for labor.
