They are expensive as hell, but worth EVERY single cent you spend on them. I put mine in, and saw an honest 3-4 MPG increase in my gas milage. It cost me like $40 or so, and has already paid itself off in about 4 months.

If my check engine light comes on and I know there isn't anything else wrong with my car, could it be a really nast air filter that caused the check engine light to come on? I know I'm overdue for a new one.

I don't believe that. Before I put my K&N in, I was getting about 35-36 mpg on the highway, and now I'm consistanly getting 39+...and I haven't done anything to my car besides that. I noticed the effects immediately too. You can't say that its in my head either, because numbers don't lie.

I just used the hose from the fuel injector, and went and got some pcv pipe and a elbow and a connecter and bought the filter. which is blue.LOL and i dont know if have noticed any difference, i did use alot of gas in 2 days though, i think thats from me racing too though, shhh, anyways who cares they look cool when you pop the hood, right

I know that the Apex-i is one, if not the best air filter out there.
