you are most likely going to need two people. when you are trying to get the two bolts going verticle through the thing around the ball, the tops of them are round and flat, they spin when you try to get them out, other than that the job is really easy and should only take between 1 and 2 hours. i have a 95 civic, just make sure that you grease the ball before you put it all back together.

I do it myself every time I've done it. There's no reason to have 2 people. If you use the correct size wrench on those flat top bolts, you can keep it in one place. 2 of the sides are flat so you can get a wrench around it to hold it in place.

Yes, grease it up well. I highly suggest using lithium greas on the shaft at the bottom of the shifter and also around the center ball.

I did this myself, alone, and it took less than an hour.

I'm not harassing you man, you just don't seem to know what you're doing...

I don't know what you're talking about 'how can they be held from above when you are down below'... you take the entire rod assembly off the car so there is no longer an above and below... maybe you do it differently, but if you need to have 2 people then it must not be the easiest way..

Please, tell me if I'm wrong. I'd like to know if there is a better way, I just don't see that there is.

You should also get a set of bushings (neuspeed, energy suspension...). You have to take them off anyway to change the shifter so you may as well replace the bushings (and it may rattle if you don't). The bushing kit is only like $8.

Hope it helps.
where can i buy the bushings you speak of for $8 online? any recommendation on online shops?

summitracing.com, 8$ plus handing fee which is about $7.

either pro-motion or energy suspensions, I have the E.S. and they work well.
