Default Fuel guage sending unit

I've tested the fuel guage and found the fuel guage sending unit to be faulty on the 95EX. I plan to pull the 93DX unit to replace it.

Without the special Honda removal tool, how has everyone been removing it?....Jack

Well I just used a screwdriver and hammer since there was no info here or accross the net.

But sending unit and fuel guage both check out.

Any other ideals on the problem? The only thing I can think of is grounding of the wires between the guage and sending unit.

This is the 95EX had the blown motor and I replaced it with the 93DX motor that got totalled. Pulled and sawpped the DX gas guage out and plugged it in and started going to full. I know the tank had less half tank. As far as the fuel guage is concerned, it checks out. Fuel sending unit on the DX I know was ok. Swapped the DX sending unit into the 95EX and no change.

Fuel guage and sending unit seem to be ok. Looking back the wires cant be grounded otherwise the guage would have went to full before doing the test.

Hummmmmmmm. Frustrating....Jack
