Default Engine Building question!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP

Alright, well i got a couple of quick questions. Is it possible for me to install ARP rod bolts and torque them and put the stock pistons back in with the same bearings or is there no point!? I want to head stud it too. But let me know, i eventually plan on fully building my block and then going from there.

what do you plan to do to this engine after it's rebuilt is the first question that needs to be answered?

you need to have the rods resized after installing arp bolts. if you're going through all this you might as well replace the bearings as well.

why not just buy eagle rods, they come with arp hardware and then pick up some srp pistons. Both are fairly cheap. Hell you could even do the vitara piston/tuner toys rods set up for really cheap (assuming you have a d series) tunertoys.com has the rods for cheap, though they do have mix reviews

I will be building the LS to turbo it.

So it will be a turbo build. I will prolly want to go with Eagle rods (ibeam or hbeam) and some CP pistons. i want the optional 3/8" rod bolt tho, for extra strength.

eagle only has h beams. so that makes that decision easier.

I've been using tuner toys rods for a couple months with no issues.
