Default Really good news, and some sad news...

Well as some of you guys may remember i sold my Del Sol back in november to a guy that live a good 300+ miles away. Well in the middle of december i had a breif e-mail convo with him about how the car is doing. At that point he had removed the exhaust and was running open downpipe. When he had it dynoed it did 289hp and I forget the torque numbers at 15psi. Well sence then i lost contact with him, till yesterday. I was going through some old e-mails and found his cell phone number and gave him a ring. Well the car is still holding up really well (might be a massive understatement) He recently dynoed the car at 28psi with 110octane and made an amazing 415hp and 387tq. Thats ALOT better then i thought it would do, but its definently cool to know it got there. NOW the sad news.....Well the guy who bought it.....riced out the interior. Painted all the grey panels.....BLUE!!! Poor car

Well the motor is built strong enough handle about 450hp, thought at that point your definently asking alot of the stock sleeves. I wasnt gonna run more then 26psi because on a compressor map that was right at the top of the efficiency for the turbo and motor, any higher and the turbo is working to hard and starts becoming more of a heat pump. I havent seen the dyno sheet so i dont know if it made power all the way to redline at 28psi, but id imagine its close enough to max efficincy to have been alright.

thats shitty about the interior, but you can tell your self now that u built a strong motor on your own.

415hp/387tq Holy Fuck! (exactly what I said when I read that) Them's some impressive numbers. If I remember right you didn't even do any head work did you? I need to get busy.

yep thats completly stock head on there and a stock intake manifold. Im sure a better intake manifold and a more agressive came could get power to 450/400 atleast
