i disagree, i have seen SOHC engines run 13's all motor and low 12's turbo WITH INTERIORS

8-9 psi can put an otherwise slow D series into the mid-low 14 second range.... work with wutcha got, its a lot cheaper!

you are correct, but, if you do those exact same mods to a b series with a dohc, its gonna be faster.

depends on how you look at it.... take the money that you would spend on your motor and add it to the money you plan to spend on either motor... if you spend 3gz on a b18c1, thats 3gz less that you have to spend on your motor, then you have to wait that much longer to have the $$$ to modify it, too...

cost of motor + cost of mods = more horsepower

figure if you have an ex, you are spending an extra 3gz for a mere 50 horsepower.... not very economical

Thanx, guys (gals),
Heres what a got (is this right)
since I really couldn't afford a 99-00 I am probably going to get a 96-98
Instead of spending the extra $$ on a EX, I should get a DX,LX. While they have less starting hp, the cost difference is worth it.
I don't really know what a b series is, is it the vtec (in EX models)?
Overall, I shouldn't worry so much about which model / year, cause they all are pretty much sweet and "upgradeable"

Thanx again, I just wanted to save myself from hating my car like 3 years after I bought it.
