Default Too much to spend>???

if found a 98 dx coupe w/ 122,00 mi. for sale at a local "late model rebuilder" . i looked at the car about a month ago when the car was wrecked, it wasnt that bad just hit in the front pass. side. he wanted $2500 for it then , so i passed on it. now i went back over to see if he anything new andi saw he still has it, now it is rebuilt and painted and he wants $2995, all it needs is a windshield and air bags. i know i can get him down a little. should i buy it??? or is this too much for a car on a salvage title.

Salvage cars are iffy. It depends on how hard it was hit and it there was frame damage. If there is frame damage I wouldn't buy it.

i went back to look at it today, it is not all the way painted, it just looks like he found some black fenders and hood, the bumper still needs paint. the guy took it to a frame shop and had it pulled out , and all the body lines up pretty good, except the headlight is a little close to the fender in a spot. i think it can all be adjusted out right. i will probably take the front end back off and realign it all any way. it drives straight, and nothing leeks and the interior is dusty but not worn or stained.i think i am going to buy it. and the milage is not a concern for me.

damn man that's waaay too much $. if you are planning to put air bags back in they will cost you ~$500 - $1400 each! plus $150-$200 for a windshield. then you have to deal with insurance and they get iffy about salvaged cars. if you buy it i hope they kiss you first, cause it's not cool to get fvcked and not get kissed first
