Default vtec breaking up

we recentle swapped my gsr motor out of my 94 civic hatch to an ls/vtec, and whenever vtec engages it breaks up really bad. it seems like it's getting way too much fuel. if anyone knows whats going on or can offer me any advice where to start it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

unless that a/f guage is connected to a wideband, i wouldnt trust it to tell me the time of day. you need a wideband to accurately tell you the a/f ratio

How do your spark plugs look and are they gapped to the correct spec?
