Default Can I do it?

I drive a DX it's slow as hell and it's automatic. I want to change it to 5spd and swap in a b16a2 or a3 if I can find one. Now I can get a fairly good deal on the engine, tranny, ecu, etc. itself. My question is would it be a good idea for someone with a limited knowledge of engine swapping to pull this off? I would have some people who know how to do a swap assist me but would it be more cost effective to do it myself or should I take the car to a shop and have it done?

of course it would be more cost effective... I think they charge anywhere from $500-$1500 for an engine install around here.... as far as the difficulty, I'm not terribly sure, but an engine swap doesn't seem like a job for a novice, but I'm sure if you have decent car knowledge, and your friends have done it before, it wouldn't be a problem.

I've done it
It's more cost effective to do yourself, but if you're not as mechanically inclined, or it's your daily driver, I'd leave to the guys who could do it with their eyes shut. You know they'll do it right without problems.
