is having a new exhaust illegal? i live in vegas nevada...and window tinting... if u get a ticket? does that mean u have to take it off? or pay and keep it on? i mean basic extereior mods like dropping your car, lights, tint, is that all illegal or is there a basic limit for the us ??

A lag is sometimes felt by the driver of a turbocharged vehicle as a delay between pushing on the accelerator pedal and feeling the turbo kick-in. Some states have a certain decible (loudness) your exhaust can't pass, thats why some provide a "silencer tip"

Window tinting is another, if its too dark they'll write you a ticket and you'll have to lower the tint or keep gettin fined

And also ricer shit like LED washers and shit like that with Blue, white, red, green lights is a :nono:

As for the black headlight...just mod yours if theyre stock. I'm not positive of what the 5th gen oem headlights look like, but I'm sure they wouldnt vary far from 6th cept size and the corner being seperate.

Here's a diy for changing the housing of the headlight for 6th gens..perhaps this could be useful if you decided to take a route similar to this.

with window tinting as long as youre not a douche bag you can usually get away with whatever you want so long as you follow certain "guidelines"

Ive got 5% tint and have never had a problem if you follow these 2 simple steps.

#1 when you get pulled over immediately roll down your driver and passenger windows. Cops hate dark tint because they cant see inside the car. If you roll down the windows then when they shine their blinder spot light on your driver/passenger mirror it will light up the inside of the car allowing them to see in and there wont be an issue.

#2 Dont be an asshole. If you start shooting your mouth off like your crap doesnt stink and that the cop is doing you some injustice by pulling you over then guess what... The cop is just going to be looking for crap to site you on. Thats usually when you hear of people getting ride height violations, noise violations, tint violations, obstruction of view violations and whatnot.

I cannot stress how important these two rules are.

I have 20%, been pulled over many times, never once been ticketed for it. legal limit here is 35% in the front

 

you just have to be cool if you do get pulled over. remember it's their job

 

check out the state inspection manual and look up traffic codes for your states in most states the two are different so u can pass inspection but get a ticket for it or vice versa
