Default dx seatbelt light...WONT STFU

my buddy has a 4 dr dx civic with the automatic seat belts and the latch or something is wrong or broken and it keeps beeping saying the seat belt is not on even when it is... its annoying as hell... any suggestions?

Seat belt problems are warranted for life.As long as you didn't mess it up it should be free to fix at a dealer(i have fixed several seat belt problems for no charge to a customer even a second gen civic with a bad buckle).

If the electrical connector (under the seat) is unplugged, then the light will stay off all of the time...

Just unplug the wire...
