d15b vtec finally in the car
cool beans Chef. I didn't know you were dropping a different engine in your car. For some reason I thought you had a D16Z6. But yeah, there's nothing better than having a major project work the first time
congrats!
congrats!
I did have a d16z6 in there. 204,000 miles and a blown head gasket. Sure I could have gone b-series, but for the first time doing this, I thought it would be smart to keep everything the same. Thought I'd start fresh and got a d15b vtec JDM from a place in-town. $375 and had every sensor. Everything except for the power steering bracket lined up perfect. I'm still not sure about where the fast idle control valve connects to
I don't have any homies around town with a d16 civic to compare it to. Can anyone post a pic of where that valve goes?
Today I'm bleeding the clutch. I hope it engages
Figured it out. Got the axles in. Bled the clutch. You have to pump more than I thought.
Took the car around the block. Let it idle for a while to get the fan going etc. A/C still cold. My rear brakes sound weird when they engage the rotor. I think it's the rust on the rotors unless anyone has another suggestion.

yeah, try using your ebrake a lil bit when driving. when u hit your brakes, there isnt that much braking force in thr back. so, if ur just test driving slow, then ur rears will hardly get used.....rape on the car for a good 5 minutes, itll like it.
Good lookin' out. I can't wait to have some fun with it after work tomorrow.
