I have seen pics of engine bays that are super clean like everything is tucked away or some stuff is removed. I love that look but im not sure how they do it? What stuff do they normally get rid of? Here is an example of what im talking about. I want my engine bay to look like this:drool: :drool:

 

from my understanding wire tucks are very time consuming and tideous but well worth it..im still looking for a DIY article for a wire tuck for the 99-00 si

 

they relocated there battery, no powersteering or AC, brake lines and fuel filter seem to be relocated, most of the holes have been welded and smoothed out. It takes alot of work and time. To do a wiretuck you have to take your harness off unravel it, extend some wires. It will defently make a good winter project

some guys custom make a brand new engine harness. and relocate the fuse box and whatever else they can to behind the dash.

 

it's extreamly time consuming, plan on pulling the motor & spending countless houres sitting in your engine bay. It can be very frustrating tracking down some of the stuff that you will wanna use as far as connectors & stuff. Brake lines can be a pain when relocating them to inside the firewall. Many spend hours extending the wires so that they can travel a longer hidden route through the frame rails so that they won't be seen in the engine bay.

Tucking the wires isn't hard. It takes about 4 hours to hide everything. I did mine right before I put my motor back in on a day I was bored. As for hiding the hardlines and the master cylinders and such it's a pain in the ass and if something breaks it's just that more of a pain in the ass to fix.

 

WHATEVER YOU DO. DONT USE SIMPLE GREEN AND THEN BLAS YOUR ENGINE WITH COLD WATER.

I just did that today to clean it up.. drove it 500 ft and it nearly blew up on me. I thought I'd hydrolocked it.

I think that I got the dizzy or sparks wet...
