Default 93 VX shift light! *searched*

ok i have this problem. after a while my shift light stops working then i get a check engine light. doesn't do it all the time. anyone know the common problems which would make this occur? please share with me.

Ur best bet is gonna to get the code. To do that, Jump the 2 pin connector and the CEL will flash the code.

my dad had this problem in his VX and i think it turned out to be the O2 sensor.

thanks. i can't find the plug to pull codes from i think i have to remove like a lot of stuff from the passanger side. when i had my sol, and my 92 gsr it was like right where you could see it.... this car has nowhere to be seen...

See if u can find a green rubber thing, alot of times it in there with a 3 pin plug.

Try dropping the glove box down as far as it will go (rotate the bumpers so they're not in the way). I've seen it just to the right of the glove box. It also might be tucked into the kick panel carpeting. Just gently pull on the smaller looms of wires back there. The one that moves fairly easily will be your best bet.

ok i found this clip thing. has like 2 plugs in it. one with 3 wires(white, and 2 others), and one wih 2 wires(blue, and another color couldn't see too well). i wish i had a flash light. I can't get my hands far enough to unplug them to find out what they are. they are above the ecu. could that be what i am looking for?
