Default bad alternator?

HI, I have a 2000 civic ex (hence my forum name), my car lights were always dimming at low rpms so i got a new alternator and the lights went on but after about an hour i was getting a gradual loss of power until everything went out completely and car died. Battery Fuse was broke under hood, fixed that, didn't turn over, got a new regular battery (the reg 435 c.a. one) and everything went back to being fine running perfect, but after a day loss of power last night coming home from work again. Jumped it drove a 1/2 mi down the road and died again, pushed the rest of the way back. This morning i unhooked my power wire going to the stereo and after a hesitation the first time started on the second, but again slowly died. It seems like the alternator just isn't charging the battery, but could it be bad wireing or something else?

Thanks

Jason
