Default Vtec wiring help!

So, I don't have a z6 wiring harness to slap my spare engine in my other car. I can't find the vtec solenoid on the wiring diagram in the Haynes, but there is something called the spool solenoid... That the same? WTF??? Anyway, any help would be awesome. A pin out for a p28 that shows the vtec solenoid or some help! The engine harness I'm using is from a d15b7 going on a z6 with a p28 ecu. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to ask, is the black wire for the vtec solenoid a ground?

I may be wrong on this cause I haven't done a ZC, only a B18C1.

On mine, there's only one wire coming off the VTEC solenoid. Near that, there is another plug for VTEC oil pressure that has 2 wires (one of which is black and is ground)

The VTEC solenoid is easy to spot (at least on my motor). It's right in front, on the passenger's side of the engine. It bolts to the front of the head where the end of the exhaust cam is. It's a cylinder looking object. I'll see if I can find you a pic...

I hope it helped a little, but like I said, I don't know ZC.

****, my bad. I need to know the wiring for both the vtec solenoid and the oil preasure switch. And it's a Z6 (d16z6), not a ZC...

I found the first one when I searched, and it gave me a clue on part of it, think I can figure it out from that and the wiring diagram in the Haynes. Can't find my Chilton, and they normally have better wiring shiz. But the second doesn't help... Thanks for looking man! At least I know I'm not the only person that can't find a good pin out for a p28!

The VTEC solenoid is called the "VTEC lock up control solenoid valve" in the Haynes. It tells about it in section 2A-6 and describes what pin position the wires need to be in. I hope this helps some. I have never wired vtec on a P28 either though.
