im sure its a knock...it comes from the lower part of the car. i like the engine swap idea....but i really wanna get it runnin. im completely clueless about imports(i grew up around muscle cars) but this site, and you guys are really helpin me out...thanx

or get the infamus.. D16a8 Its a 1.6 litre DOHC non Vtec.. it looks IDENTCAL to the b18B same valve cover and every thing only ... it sez d16a8 and its a 1.6.. most of you are like D16... thats not a DOHC MOTOR hes crazy hes been drinking his bathwater made of gin and tonic..... well for the most party your right.... most d16 motors are SOHC.. the d16y6,y8 and that ... but type it in on google or alta vista and make sure u ad the A8 or A9 wich is the carburated.. YES carburated version of the A8... now you all are like WUT now hes gott to be cracked out.. WEll this motor never was used in american cars and was the motor of choice before they put the b16a in the CRX SI
makeing 135 HP wich is... not real impressive... but for nearly the same price you could get a DOHC motor and have better high end and turbo it build it up and if u decide to do put a Vtec head on it u can do the same thing they do for the b18B.

okay....im gettin all these ideas thrown at me and i have no clue as to what you are talkin about.where can i research b18's and gsr's and vtech's? i would like to get it runnin now with what its got in it. but i do wanna upgrade it. should i just get the new engine....or is it cheaper to get it runnin right now? you guys are throwin alot at a rookie.....please keep that in mind, i appreciate the help

b18a > than the stupid d16a8 especially since this is a 92+ forum.

well according to the specs they make the same HP hp as the b18a so i dont see how its better
