Default Broken into...Stereo stolen.

I have a '97 LX.

It has been about 2 years since I installed the radio. They ripped out all the plastic bezel, and pried off some of the climate control plastic. I have found both of the plastics for less than $100 on ebay.

My question, is what type of mounting stuff was inside? They ripped out the stereo cage, and whatever it was hooked up to. Basically, I just have a big hole between the two AC vents and the climate controller.

Can I just buy a mounting kit from ebay? If so, where would it mount to? Thanks guys.

def goin to a salvage yard would be a better idea, and plus you could prob get an entire center console for the same price or prob cheaper.

Sorry man. I feel for you. My radio was stolen about 3 weeks ago. I'm still going through insurance to get every thing fixed. It is a pain.

Insurance deductable is $500, so it is cheaper just to fix it myself.

I had the same thing happen to me in my old corolla last winter. Just be careful if you are replacing any buttons. I replaced the hazzard button from one from a junk yard, it must have been a different year, because after I plugged in the new one, my whole electrical system went to shit. My radio only turned on when I hit the brakes! And I had no tail or brake lights. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it so I can sell the thing.

No luck at the junkyard. Anyone have a parts diagram or pics of what is inside?

That should be most of your center console trim stuff. Make sure you look through the site though and make sure it's for your exact model and what not.
