Well not drifting. I also think Honda figured all these people will be modifying their Civic Sis that having ABS will/might cause problems if you don't run the right wheel/tire diameter as stock. ABS will not work properly if your tire/wheel diameters are not stock.

On a properly tuned car w/ABS you can brake harder and deeper than a non-ABS car, but in the end weight is your worse enemy and you are only braking maybe 5% of the course, and 95% of the time you are on the gas and turning.

It's very difficult to drift a car with ABS since you need to lock up your tires to get them to break loose.

My guess is that they also wanted it to be as cheap as possible since they knew that people would be buying them and modding them.

Evidently, FLAT_LINER, ABS has alot more to do with drifting than you know.
