Side Clips
Does anyone know how to safely remove the black side clips on the 5th gen civics? I've wedged one off with a flathead but wound up breaking it off of the plastic mounting. Is it possible to remove the side clips in a less destructive way?

Yeah, I meant that plastic business that runs along the door, and barely extends onto each quarter panel.
So this means I have to take apart the doors?

On the inside remove the door panels then you can get to the clips. If you have a four door the front doors the first hole is a screw and the last clip towrds the fender cannot be reached which is a pain to weld and wipe. I'm in the process of removing my moldings one side is done primed and waiting for paint. peace

Thanks for the replies; I should say that the car in question is a 2dr. berginr, does the PB and dual flatheads method require disassembling the door, or can it be done from the outside of the car?
