Testdrove 99 Si the other day, disappointed
Hmm... I just think like most Honda's, they lack decent torque... but I'm sure the 17" Chrome wonders and near full house had something to do with it. I'm pretty content with my B16

the b16 does have the 160 hp that everyone likes but look at the torque, it is assnuts. a mere 130 ib/ft of torque? Thats puny, now go hit up a 4th gen prelude and feel the torque of a h22a. Thats what im talking about!

The Newer Sis have more torque, but the 99-00 Civic Si has 111ft/lbs.

for N/A I hear, B18C1 1st and 2nd, B16A2 3rd and 4th, B18C5 final gear.
huge wheels will make a difference, with more weight and traction. also 3 other people is VERY significant. I've ran an h22a sh by half a car to second easily. with a person riding shotgun, by second he was pulling on me.

I drove a friends 00 SI, and I was also disappointed! I guess I was expecting the 30 hp increase from my SOHC to feel more noticeable. Still glad I drove it before I get my swap. Now I know it has to be a B18C.
