Went to the track
h:
You went to the track with no drag radials and running a turbo? Even my wife's SUV rolls on drag radials...
Those Kumhos are good for work transportation, but you won't win races with them.

last time i went i ran 15.9..........in my sol, 1.5 with some cheap tires from sam's, i basically had to take off like everyday driving cause those tires wouldnt be able to get traction on sandpaper
i dropped it down to like 15.1 by the end of the night, with and average r/t of about .05

tune it nice & turn it up to 12psi & u'll be into the 13's! .. i wouldn't daily drive a stock d-series on that much without at least studs. but it would be fine to pull a couple times at the track!
glad to hear that it hasn't fell apart on you yet.. just be sure to keep an eye on that thing.. & pull your air filter once in a while to check the amount of play if any, that the shaft might have..
post up a couple pix in here.
when I got home yesterday there was a package waiting for me :rick: It contained vitara pistons, rings, MLS head gasket, and ACL bearings. All for $200 shipped. I'm really not even sure if I'm going to go with the vitaras right now but I figure I can always sell those on ebay and still be money ahead. I really don't want to crank up the boost too much on this old D right now. I'm really not sure how much she can handle so I'm playing it safe. Now after I build it this winter that's a different story. I have the turbo braced to the engine block to help prevent the manifold from cracking. I don't want to be another victim of the super slam.

this is why Omnicient was blowing me crap about baja. I have to go over some really crappy rail road tracks everyday. I was lowered a little and dented my oil pan, now my 3" down pipe sits lower than the pan so I'm afraid to go any lower than stock. A previous owner put the 17s on it, come tax season I'm getting 15s. No sidewall = crap

awsome, not a bad looking setup.. i'd try & find a way to locate that filter somewhere else tho.. it's gettin all the hot air that comes through the radiator.. u'll see a performance gain by routing it elsewhere.
that was supposed to be temporary, then I just kinda forgot about it. I need to get some elbows and bring it up near the head light.
