Turbo?
i went on ebay and found a turbo for my civic. 97 ex auto.

can anyone tell me if its a safe turbo for a stock civic? i got full exhaust and cold air. also will i need a new ecu or flash it or what else do i have to do when i get it.

eBay turbo kits are a gamble. Some people have been runing them for a year or two without a problem. Other peoples kits shit the bed within a month.
The kit is not safe for a stock civic. To run it properly you would need some form of engine management wether it be a crappy fuel management unit(FMU), chipping your ecu and using software such as CROME, Neptune, or Uberdata, or spending big bucks for a licensed standalone unit like Greddy Emanage or AEM EMS.

you all do know that automatic cars that have turbos do not loose boost pressure because you never have to take your foot of the gas, in the long run they might not stay in the gear as long and the bands in the tranny will stretch quicker, but there is still no loss in boost pressure

you do know honda automatics aren't capable of holding onto a lot of power without breaking? :dunno: that's the point I was trying to get across...nowhere did anyone say general turbo automatics cars were slow
