Civic - scotchgard and seat covers
Hi everyone,
buying a new 4 door Civic, excited about it and I have a couple questions. Would you recommend going to a auto detail shop for scotchgarding the interior or doing it myself? What are relatively cheap seat covers that are decent and have the opening for the side air bags? What's the deal with the I-pod connectivity, is it ready to go or another couple hundred to get going? Any other newbie advice you can give me is appreciated. BTW, it's a manual.

seat covers with opening for side airbags?......wow i must be out of the loop.... so how new is new? 2006? umm sorry i'm not much help...or any really i'll search the ipod thing see if i find anything
Honda offers a scotchguard (sp?) package for a couple extra bucks a month, also they do a coat on the outside of the car so you dont have to wax the car if you dont want to, its like a plastic. basically it protects against rock chips and scratches and all kinds of other crap.
For these two things i think it was like $20 more a month on our payment for the FIT

Thanks for the replies! Yes, it is a 2006. I heard about the seat covers with the opening for the air bags recently as I never would have thought of it myself. Also appreciate the comment about the dealer doing the scotchgarding. I am getting it through a buying service but assume I can take it to my local dealership and have it done for me there.
