hey guys, i'm kinda new here. i have a 00 civic dx 4dr auto and i just installed a intake on my d16y7. i took apart the little "power cord" (?) that was connected to the air filter box then installed the intake. but before i reconnected the "cord" (i forgot to connect it...) i turned on my engine to move it up the driveway and noticed the engine check light on. it has never turned on before this...

is this bad? how do i get the light to turn off? after seeing that the engine light was on, i reconnected it.

help?

 

go on the pass side under the kick panel there is your ecu take the key out the ignition unplug teh ecu for about 10-15 seconds and then start the car it should reset itself

 

thanks for the reply. after giving me a head start about resetting my ecu, i did some more searching and found that if i just pull out my 7.5A Backup fuse for a few seconds, everything will work. the CEL is now gone.
