Default Vtec motors..

i jus found out today that any vtec motor should have their oil changed every 2000 miles instead of the regular 3000 miles beacuse there is a screen on the vtec solenoid and if that gets clogged vtec will not engage beacause not enough oil pressure... jus lettin yall know...

Yep. The suggested oil change interval is 7500 miles. I change mine at 3000 only because the turbo is oil cooled and the heat breaks it down faster.

If you have a decent oil filter, none of that shit should be floating up toward the vtec solenoid. If the screen gets clogged, it isn't that hard to pull it out and clean it off.
